As you touch down at Dublin airport your chauffeur will be ready to welcome you on your magical and wonderful Halloween trip to Ireland. They will help you take your luggage and personally drive you to the wonderful, historic Clontarf Castle where you will stay the night. This unique 12th-century fortress is a luxury 4-star hotel that was once used to shield the city of Dublin from the savage Gaelic tribes.

This will be your home for the next two nights. The castle’s grandeur begins before you enter. As you approach, you’re greeted by a long, tree-lined driveway that opens to reveal the impressive stone facade of the castle. The sight of ivy-covered walls and medieval-style turrets creates a mystical and historic feeling.

Inside, you will be immediately struck by the warm and regal atmosphere. The combination of dim, ambient lighting and soaring stone walls creates an intimate, almost enchanted feel. At some point in the day, you will have the chance to stroll through the cobbled streets of Temple Bar, renowned for its lively pubs, cultural events, and artistic charm.

Later you will visit EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum. Located near Dublin’s vibrant Docklands, EPIC offers a captivating journey into Ireland’s emigration story and how Irish culture has influenced the world. Here you will explore 20 interactive galleries that bring Irish history to life. Next you will visit the famous Kilkenny Castle. This iconic landmark is located at the heart of Kilkenny, boasting over 800 years of history and stunning architecture. You’ll explore its beautifully restored State Rooms, including the grand dining room and the impressive picture gallery with its intricate hammer-beam roof. Stroll through the expansive gardens and parklands, featuring a formal rose garden and tranquil lake views.

Just 600 meters from Kilkenny Castle, you’ll find St. Canice’s Cathedral, a remarkable 13th-century structure celebrated for its striking gothic design. The cathedral also features a 9th-century round tower, one of only two in Ireland that allow visitors to climb to the top which offers stunning views of the city and countryside. This will be your last activity of the tour as you wrap up your journey travelling through Kilkenny’s rich history and stunning architecture.
